What Methods Mainstream Schools Use to Support Engagement in Classroom for Children with Autism

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a kind of disease that affects cognitive efficacy, verbal and non-verbal communication as well as social behaviours among patients. Considering the depleted role of social cognition in autistic children, the purpose of this study has been to comprehend the various strategies that have to be used to keep ASD students engaged. In order to do so, the study has made use of both primary and secondary data collection, followed by content analysis. Findings have revealed that ASD students' particular needs can be most effectively met in specialised schools rather than mainstream schools, as such institutions lack the resources and skills to engage with autistic children.
